A great performance since there were only five promoted in France this year. Sylvain Maurin, one of the teachers, and Olivier Boulmier, a member of the club, had already worked as regional referees for ten and seven years respectively. Wishing to move to the next level and pass the national refereeing exam, they embarked on the adventure together, without a spirit of competition.
Following their application and with the approval of the regional arbitration commission, Sylvain and Olivier officiated during a national competition in Reims, where they obtained a score above 10, giving them the possibility of passing the ‘exam. “Underneath, everything stopped. »
It was during the French championship in Verquin (Pas-de-Calais) that they were admitted to the national circle. The day before, in the theoretical exam, Sylvain and Olivier obtained the excellent grade of 16.5 and 17/20. Last weekend, at the interclub tournament organized in Châteauneuf, they were in the spotlight and congratulated for their investment.
