BVB, News: Gregor Kobel vor Comeback
Dortmund can rely on their regular goalkeeper Gregor Kobel again. “He has been able to significantly increase his training workload since Sunday, so that he has completed full team training since Tuesday and is therefore available for us again,” said coach Edin Terzic before the top game against VfB Stuttgart.
Kobel recently missed the win at Bayern Munich (2-0) due to a gastrointestinal infection that was not fully cured; he had missed the 3-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt two weeks earlier with an injury. Alexander Meyer represented him there.
Attacker Donyell Malen, however, could miss the duel against the third-placed team in Dortmund on Saturday (6:30 p.m.). The Dutchman was “still not free of symptoms” on Wednesday, so it will be “tight” for Saturday. “But we will take the time in the next two days to make a decision,” said Terzic, who is fourth with BVB and four points behind VfB.
