For a few days now we have been talking more insistently about Bronny James: this is because LeBron’s son, after just one disappointing year at USC, declared himself eligible for the Draft. Obviously he will have time until just before the Draft to back out and stay another year at college, but changing teams: he has in fact also signed up for the transfers portal. However, Green’s opinion clashes with that of the experts. In an article by him, Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer wrote that some comparisons that have emerged with players currently or recently in the NBA see Bronny James alongside Patrick Beverley, Davion Mitchell and Norris Cole. Not top-level names, one of which (Cole) has been out of the League for several years. Furthermore, speaking to the journalist, an anonymous GM reportedly said: “He should go back to school and develop at the speed he needs, otherwise he risks losing himself, whether he plays or not with his father”.
Another scout is even harsher: “There are probably three rounds of draft prospects who are more talented than Bronny in this class.”.
