Bronny James: Is He Ready for the NBA Draft?

For a few days now we have been talking more insistently about Bronny James: this is because LeBron’s son, after just one disappointing year at USC, declared himself eligible for the Draft. Obviously he will have time until just before the Draft to back out and stay another year at college, but changing teams: he has in fact also signed up for the transfers portal. Seen the suns Averaged 4.8 points in his first NCAA season, with rather inconsistent playing time, many think that James Jr is not yet ready for the NBA. The idea expressed by his father to play with him before retiring, however, seems to be rushing Bronny, who will sound out his market with the scouts and make a decision based on the interest he will feel in himself from the NBA franchises.

There certainly isn’t one among the skeptics Draymond Greena friend of his father LeBron, who actually showered the class of 2004 with compliments in his podcast. Bronny will 100% succeed in the NBA. First of all, he knows how to work. If you don’t agree, go watch his high school journey. You will notice the improvements in his game, in his body, in his athleticism. At worst, Bronny is a good NBA defender, a 3&D. We have many of them in the NBA, they are highly valued. And Bronny has an excellent shot, even though this year he hasn’t had very high percentages. The mechanics are good, it always shoots well. There are many factors when talking about its low percentages, I don’t want to overemphasize it. Furthermore, I believe he is right to apply for this draft because it will probably be remembered as one of the worst drafts in history, at least as far as the top players are concerned. There isn’t even a favorite for the first overall pick. I think it was a good move and that Bronny will be a successful player in the NBA.” Green said.

However, Green’s opinion clashes with that of the experts. In an article by him, Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer wrote that some comparisons that have emerged with players currently or recently in the NBA see Bronny James alongside Patrick Beverley, Davion Mitchell and Norris Cole. Not top-level names, one of which (Cole) has been out of the League for several years. Furthermore, speaking to the journalist, an anonymous GM reportedly said: “He should go back to school and develop at the speed he needs, otherwise he risks losing himself, whether he plays or not with his father”.

Another scout is even harsher: “There are probably three rounds of draft prospects who are more talented than Bronny in this class.”.

In the meantime, Bronny continues to joke about it on his profile In between many photomontages also with the Lakers shirt, so as not to miss anything. His future continues to be a mystery.
