Brazilian Referee Suspended for Corruption in Tennis Match-Fixing Scandal

The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) reported this Monday that judge Antonio Casa was sanctioned for a period of seven years and six months for non-compliance with the tennis anti-corruption program (TACP).

Casa, who performed in ITF tournaments and was an umpire at the ATP Challenger level, will also have to pay 25 thousand dollars, of which 17 thousand will be suspended if the sanctions are complied with. “Casa used his right to be heard by an Anti-Corruption officer,” the entity said in a statement.
