Brad Stevens Named NBA Executive of the Year for 2024

Brad Stevens spent eight years as head coach of the Boston Celtics before becoming the club’s head of basketball decision-making three seasons ago. In the summer, Stevens took care of a decent addition to the starting five, acquiring Kristaps Porzingis and also Drew Holliday.

With 64 wins, Boston was the best team in the regular season and secured home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Porzingis averaged 20.1 points and 7.2 rebounds in 57 games, and in the opinion of many experts, the addition of the Liepaja player makes the “Celtics” the main contender for the NBA title in 2024.

Holliday averaged 12.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 69 games as a key defensive player. In 2021, Holliday won the championship with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Recipients of the Manager’s Award were chosen by colleagues in a vote. Second place went to Oklahoma City Thunder general manager and vice president Sam Presti, and third place to Minnesota Timberwolves basketball president Tim Connelly.
