Boys and Girls Compete in Intercenter Olympiad in Cabanillas and Marchamalo High Schools

A hundred boys and girls, students from the public institutes of Cabanillas (IES Ana María Matute) and Marchamalo (IES Alejo Vera) have participated throughout this Friday, April 5, in the day of the “Guadavisión” Intercenter OImpiada has been developed in the Cabanilleras municipal facilities: the Ramiro Almendros Complex, the San Blas Sports Center and the Municipal Frontón.

Cabanillas was the venue for the third day of this “Guadavisión Sports-Cultural Olympiad”, a project of the Provincial Delegation of Education, Culture and Sports that takes place in different locations in Guadalajara between April 3 and 17, 2024 in its first phase, and which will celebrate its final phase on May 7 and 8 in Guadalajara capital. The Cabanillas event has pitted students from “Matute” and “Alejo” in competitions of volleyball, athletics (relay races and shot put), “datchball”, “rugby tag”, badminton and in a cultural test, and It took place throughout the morning, from 09:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

This is an Olympics with which the regional educational authorities want to develop the different competitions through the sports and cultural practices of the kids. The students participate in the preparation, practice, learning, elaboration, interpretation and development of basic knowledge adapted to the level of the participants in which different educational aspects and values ​​are worked on. The competitions are with mixed teams and with gender equality.

The first two days of this Olympiad were held in Molina and Azuqueca this Wednesday, April 3 and Thursday, April 4, and next week there will be competitions in Guadalajara from April 8 to 11, in Tórtola de Henares on the 15th, and in Villanueva de la Torre on April 17.
