Bill Belichick to join ‘Pat McAfee Show’

It may not be the job you expected, but former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick has landed a new position, albeit temporarily. Belichick, 72, will reportedly co-host a live “Pat McAfee Show” event at the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit. McAfee himself announced Belichick’s move during Wednesday’s episode of his show. Graduated “The Pat McAfee Show Draft Spectacular”, the show will begin at 7:30 pm ET on April 25 and will stream on YouTube, TikTok and on ESPN+. Described as a non-traditional broadcast, the special will feature “a wide range of personalities and analysts to analyze the picks while emphasizing the Draft experience from the fans’ perspective.”

As for the details, there hasn’t been any further information on who else might be involved, but we now know that McAfee and Belichick had this in the works. “Coach, I just announced to the world something that we’ve been talking about for the last month and a half,” McAfee told Belichick during the episode. “I am incredibly excited and grateful that you will join us next Thursday night in Detroit for countdown and the draft.” Naturally, Belichick responded in kind. “I’m looking forward to it,” Belichick said. “Draft day, draft weekend, is always an exciting time for everyone, for the teams, for the fans, for everyone involved. It is a great event and I am looking forward to seeing it from the outside. It will be fun to be in Detroit, be with you and gain your experience.”

The Belichick news comes in the wake of reports that Patriots owner Robert Kraft, gave a scathing review of him when speaking to Arthur Blank, the owner of the Atlanta Falcons. Given that the Falcons were the only team that seemed seriously interested in Belichick, that doesn’t look good. However, he may have another path ahead of him, at least for the moment. With reports indicating that he is set to sign an analyst deal with Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, we will likely see a lot more of Bill Belichick soon. Especially now that ESPN has renewed his contract con su popular programa ‘Monday Night Football’, el ‘Manningcast’.
