And 23! Paris Basketball has just won its 23rd success in a row in all competitions on the floor of Elan Chalon this Tuesday evening (73-84). Led by the excellent TJ Shorts (24 points), the Parisians are only one victory away from the record established by CSP Limoges in 1989-1990 with 24 consecutive successes.
Largely in the lead after the first quarter (27-17), Paris then maintained its gap around 10 points to win in Burgundy against the Chalonnais who ensured, despite the defeat, their retention in the Elite .

Their 12th consecutive victory in the championship allows Tuomas Iisalo’s men to finish in second place in the Betclic Elite behind Monaco and ahead of Asvel. This runner-up place means that the Parisians will be assured of home advantage until the final and that they will face the seventh in the regular season, from May 16, in the quarter-final of the playoffs. For the moment it is Saint-Quentin but the last two matches of the season could give Paris Basketball another opponent for the first playoffs in its history, which was founded in 2018.
Guaranteed to finish second, Paris welcomes Roanne, relegated, on Saturday (4 p.m.) at the Adidas Arena, to equal Limoges’ record before, why not, beating it during a trip to Portel on May 11 .
Already winner of the Eurocup this season, the Parisian club hopes to go far in these playoffs in what is already the best season in its (young) history.
