Barça tunes up against UCAM while Granada hurts Palencia and Breogán at the same time

MADRID, 20 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

FC Barcelona has won 97-86 against UCAM Murcia and has sealed its ticket for the playoffs of the Endesa League, during a matchday 30 that this Saturday has reinforced Coviran Granada’s chances of salvation, thanks to its own victory ( 83-91) against Zunder Palencia and the defeat (70-77) of Río Breogán against Dreamland Gran Canaria.

At the Palau Blaugrana, Jan Vesely’s good performance led to the local victory, forged with a cumulative partial of 26-18 in the second period. The Czech center finished with 20 points in his baggage, while the Canadian guard – with a Serbian passport – Dylan Ennis was the most in tune of UCAM facing the basket, with 16 points from him.

Thanks to a current balance of 21-9, the culé team maintained third place and mathematically reserved a place in the fight for the title. It benefited them that BAXI Manresa lost 90-97 against MoraBanc Andorra, since the team from Manresa now has a record of 17-13 and is the one who defines the eighth and final position in the playoffs.

In the battle to avoid relegation to the LEB Oro, Granada gained a lot of oxygen in Palencia. The home team gave up control of the game midway through the first quarter and never regained it. The 15 points scored by Kwan Cheatham and another 14 by Elias Valtonen were the foundation of the victory for the Grenadians, who have a record of 9-21.

For its part, Zunder remains at the bottom with its record of 5-25, increasingly further away from salvation. Second to last and still out of relegation is Breogán, who in front of their home team fell in extra time against a ‘Granca’ team led by Ethan Happ, author of 21 points and 23 rating credits. The ‘pio-pio’ are sixth at the moment, with a balance of 19-11.
