This Thursday, FC Barcelona presented Barça One, its new free, global streaming platform, with which the culé club aims to compile the audiovisual content of all its sports sections, with special attention to the football environment.

According to a statement from FC Barcelona, ​​this project “democratizes the club’s content by offering it for free, on a global scale, as has never been seen until now.” This new OTT is, according to said note, “the best in this category in football content in the world.”

The presentation was at the Mirador Torre Glòries, an iconic building in Barcelona that was illuminated in blue for the occasion. The event, presented by comedian Charlie Pee and journalist Llorenç Tarrés, was attended by the president of FC Barcelona, ​​Joan Laporta.

Thus, Laporta was accompanied at the event by players from both the men’s first team and the women’s first team, and also by several players from the different handball, futsal and roller hockey teams of the Blaugrana club.

Framed under the motto ‘Go out and enjoy’, the event included, at the institutional and executive level, interventions by Laporta himself; from Toni Cruz, director of Barça Studios; and Elena Neira, expert in new digital businesses and advisor to Barça One.

Also attending the event was Maria Assumpció Romero, member number 454 of FC Barcelona, ​​who was the first person to test the platform, and did so on behalf of the Barcelona social masses, who from now on will be able to use this new audiovisual service.

Furthermore, the new Barça One formats were detailed during the event by the visible faces of these spaces: Mireia Germán and Diego Lorijn (Barça News), Robert van Eeckhout, Marc Brau, Pol Martínez and Llorenç Tarrés (Barça Live) and Patricia Domínguez (new originals).
