Lieshout – The board of Badminton Club Lieshout has taken a closer look at the club’s playing times and associated rental costs for the annual General Members’ Meeting. It has been decided not to make any changes to the format of the evening. It has been decided not to rent the room permanently for the last half hour.

During the annual General Members’ Meeting, the board explained the adjustment to the game evening. In recent years, records have been kept of how many badminton players showed up for the weekly evening of play and attention has also been paid to what time the last badminton player deposited his rackets. These data have shown that the hall has hardly been used in the last half hour. For that reason, it has been decided not to rent the hall on a permanent basis for the last half hour. Incidentatlly; It has been agreed with the administrators that if there is an interest to continue playing until later (and the hall is available), the extra half hour can be rented on site. The adjustment is therefore purely administrative, which does eliminate unnecessary costs for the association.

Youth
The format of the evening will not change. The youngest youth of Badminton Club Lieshout starts at 6:30 PM. These youth fall into the age category 7-12 years and receive guidance and training until 7:30 PM. During this hour, the older youth also come in. They arrive at 7 p.m. and then start their training. The older youth (age category 12-17 years) then play until 8 p.m., after which the oldest members can also continue playing with the seniors.

Seniors
Seniors (age category 18 years and older) enter from 8 p.m. These seniors have the choice to participate in training or to play freely. There is no such choice for the youth: the youth always train together. The training for the seniors starts at 8 p.m. and lasts 50 minutes. If training takes place on one side of the sports hall, players who do not want to train can play freely elsewhere. At 8:30 PM, those non-training seniors play one round where they are divided on the basis of ‘pulling rackets’. At 8:50 PM, all badminton players present will play another round, after which the evening will end with free play. The players also change every 20 minutes, so that there are constantly changing games. From now on, this change will end at 10 p.m., while in the past this was possible until 10:30 p.m.
