Six weeks after having pinky surgery, the Atlanta Hawks star guard Trae Young cleared to return to practicethe team announced on Monday.

Young tore a ligament in his finger on February 23 during a match against the Toronto Raptors and underwent surgery four days later.

The Hawks have record of 12-10 since his injury before Tuesday’s home game against the Miami Heat. Atlanta (36-42) currently occupies the last play-in spot in the Eastern Conference and will play against the Chicago Bulls in the play-in tournament.

Young, 25, averages Team-best 26.4 points and career-high 10.8 assistsin 51 games (all as a starter) this season.

Overall, Young has contributed 25.6 points and 9.5 assists in 404 career games (all starts) since being selected with the fifth overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft.
