The arrival of foreign tourists to Mexico accelerated during February, Inegi reported this Wednesday.
In the second month of the year, 3.4 million international tourists arrived in the country, which meant an increase of 6.2 percent at the annual rate, almost double that of the previous month.
The growth in February was mainly driven by the arrival of tourists by air, which totaled 2.2 million, a figure 10.1 percent higher than that registered in the same month of 2023.
The Inegi report highlighted that in February the spending of foreign tourists grew 13.2 percent at an annual rate, to total three thousand 176.5 million dollars.
