Arrest Warrant Issued for Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receiver Rashee Rice After Dallas Car Accident

Rashee Rice, wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, will have to face justice for the six-vehicle car accident he caused in Dallas at the end of March, because, according to WFAA, an arrest warrant has been issued for him.

Rice, based on information from WFAA, has one day to surrender to authorities. The Dallas Police Department offers defendants to report to precincts before sending officers to arrest them.

Dallas police said the Chiefs wide receiver was driving a Lamborghini and Theodore Knox a Corvette on the North Central Expressway. Rice and the other driver lost control and collided with four other vehicles.

The charges against Rice are aggravated assault, another of collision with serious bodily injury and six of collision with injury. Knox, a Southern Methodist University football player, was indicted on the same charges.

The 23-year-old athlete stated that he would cooperate with authorities and accept full responsibility for escaping the scene of the accident. Royce West, Rice’s attorney, confirmed last week that the wide receiver was driving the Lamborghini, under lease, and that the Corvette was rented in his name.

During his first season in the NFL, Rice caught 79 passes thrown his way for 938 yards and seven touchdowns. During Super Bowl LVIII, he recorded six receptions for 39 yards.
