Appamean Badminton Club Excels in Recent Tournaments, Prepares for Major 2024 Event

The Appamean badminton club (BCAP) is in good shape and demonstrated it recently in Colomiers, Lavaur then in Villefranche and Fontenilles with great performances and a mastered technique with racket in hand. Notably in Colomiers where Julien arrives in the senior 4 semi-final, Marie Charlotte and Clémentine are finalists.

In Lavaur, Théo won the singles in seniors 3. Sophie won the doubles final with a player from Golfech. In short, it’s the form at BCAP which continued recently in Foix in tournament. The Appameans once again distinguished themselves on the courts with in senior men’s doubles 2 the winners Fournié-Groux (Pamiers) and finalists Lorenzato-Ruprich-Robert (Pamiers-Foix). In senior ladies’ doubles, 2 winners Carbonie-Muscat-Peuch (Pamiers), and finalists Frayssinet-Duprat-Rouby-Respaud (Pamiers). Finally, in senior men’s doubles, 4 winners Cara-Moret (Pamiers/Nailloux) and finalists Lete-Tisseyre (Limoux/Pamiers).

Finally, registrations for the major 2024 BCAP tournament planned for the weekend of April 20 and 21 are continuing and all the necessary logistics are being put in place for this major event considered to be the highlight of the season at the Appamean badminton club. An unmissable event of the season in the discipline, the most important in the department, it brings together hundreds of players each year on the courts of the Bayle gymnasium. Last year, this renowned tournament was once again sold out and saw around thirty men’s doubles and around twenty women’s doubles compete on Saturday and finally 55 mixed doubles on Sunday. It should be the same this year with badminton players arriving from all over the department but also from the Occitanie region to challenge each other, racket in hand, and try to win the many prizes offered by the Appamean badminton club.
