Anses Announces New Increases in Pensions and Changes to Bonus Payment for Retirees

The National Social Security Administration (Anses) announced new increases in pensions, continuing with measures aimed at adjusting the amounts and payment methods. This last decision impacts the payment of the Anses bonus for retirees.

Through the Decree of Necessity and Urgency 274/2024 published in the Official Gazette, an increase of 12.5% in April retirements was confirmed, as compensation for the loss in December-January, along with the corresponding 13.2% to February inflation. This measure is complemented by other provisions that affect the amount to be collected in the fourth month of the year, such as payment in two parts to retirements and pensions.

The Anses bonus for retirees is established by article 5 of Law 27,426, which guarantees a minimum salary equivalent to 82% of the minimum vital and mobile wage (SMVM) for all beneficiaries with thirty (30) years or more of service. with effective contributions.

It is expected that in April, the agency will not make the payment of the extra amount that was delivered in recent months, which in March amounted to $31,851. However, this scenario could change if the Government establishes an increase in the minimum wage effective this month.
