ARNHEM – The Arnhem badminton club BECA 2000 will organize the annual international Junior Master tournament on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May. With 145 players, the tournament is back at the level of 2019. The venue is the Valkenhuizen sports hall on Beukenlaan in Arnhem.
The tournament is part of the Badminton Netherlands Junior Master tournament circuit for players in the categories Under 17, Under 15, Under 13 and Under 11. In addition to the Netherlands, players from Belgium, Germany, India and Ukraine are participating.
This year there are four participants from the organizing association BECA 2000.
-Abhyudaya Gadre competes in the men’s singles under 11 and the men’s doubles under 11;
-Sam Lanz in men’s singles under 15, men’s doubles under 15 and mixed doubles under 15;
-Jill van Zetten in the women’s singles under 15, women’s doubles under 17 and mixed doubles under 15;
-Julea ter Haar in the women’s singles under 17 and the women’s doubles under 17.
A total of 300 matches are scheduled; 255 on Saturday and 45 (semi-finals and finals) on Sunday. On Saturday the playing times are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On Sundays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The finals are scheduled for Sunday from approximately 12:30 p.m. Admission is free on both days.
