Alex Sarr has confirmed his presence in the 2024 draft. As he himself stated in an interview with Malika Andrews, a journalist from ESPNhas declared himself eligible for the ceremony and will make the jump to the league this year, something he will surely do as one of the biggest names of the generation.
This is a draft from which not much is expected, but his is undoubtedly one of the most interesting names in it. Several analysts now consider him a favorite to be chosen in first position, highlighting his enormous impact and versatility in defense. However, he is a player who still has limitations in attack, which, in a draft in which no one seems like a safe bet, could make him drop some positions.
Sarr comes from playing for the Perth Wildcats of the Australian League, with whom he has averaged 9.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 17 minutes. As he has acknowledged, this experience has helped him train and continue developing, and he feels that he is now prepared to make the leap to the American league.
