Alba Berlin Faces Setback in German Championship Finals Against Rutronik Stars Keltern

The basketball players from Alba Berlin have suffered a serious setback in the fight for their first German championship. The Berliners clearly lost the second final game at home on Sunday against defending champions Rutronik Stars Keltern 47:68 (18:37). Since Alba won the first game on Friday 69:49, the best-of-five series is now 1:1. The best Berlin shooter was Deeshyra Thomas with 14 points.

However, Keltern has now regained home advantage. Because the next two finals will take place in Baden-Württemberg. The first game on Friday (7 p.m./Sporttotal.tv). With two wins, the defending champion could then make the championship perfect again.

Alba found it extremely difficult from the start against the very strong defense. And so they were behind from the start. While the guests consistently scored points, the Berliners only managed a meager 18 points in the entire first half. Nothing changed after the break. In the middle of the third quarter the deficit exceeded 20 points for the first time (24:45). This meant the game was decided early on.
