At the end of the regular season, the top six teams in the standings will directly qualify for the playoffs. There will therefore remain two tickets to be allocated for the clubs ranked 7th to 10th places which will participate in this play-in based on the NBA and Euroleague model.
The winner of the duel between 7th and 8th will take the first ticket. The loser will then face the winner of the opposition between the 9th and the 10th for the last sesame. The quarter-finals of the playoffs will remain played as a best of three matches.
A four-team kickoff tournament
Furthermore, the LNB has decided to limit the number of changes in the club squad to three, between the first day and February 28. It will be possible to carry out two recruitments of medical freelancers after February 28, in the event of a long-term injury to a professional player.
Finally, a season launch tournament will be organized in September 2025 with four teams: the French Betclic Élite champion, the winner of the Leaders Cup, the winner of the Coupe de France and the French Pro B champion. media day” will be organized ahead of this competition.
