A bus of Brest supporters has an accident returning from the match against Lyon

Returning from Lyon after the spectacular defeat of their team on Sunday evening (4-3), around ten Brest supporters experienced a road accident this Monday morning around 7 a.m., we learn. France Blue Loire Ocean. According to the radio, the accident occurred just before a toll barrier in Ancenis, in Loire-Atlantique. The bus reportedly hit the back of a truck.

Of the eleven people on board, nine were slightly injured. Five were transferred to Nantes hospital, the other four having been hospitalized in Ancenis. Tests of two drivers came back negative. Following this accident, Brest supporters received support from the national supporters association. “We all provide our support and our best wishes for recovery to the Brest supporters,” the association wrote on X.

Stade Brestois also supported its supporters in a press release, indicating that one of them was still hospitalized “to treat significant injuries” this Monday noon. “Stade Brestois 29 would like to provide its full support to the 9 Celtic Ultras concerned and wishes them a speedy recovery,” writes the Breton club.

This season, Brest supporters had already experienced complicated travel returns. At the end of November, a bus was stoned after the match against Montpellier before the scenario was repeated at the end of January after Brest’s match against PSG at the Parc des Princes. Two fan buses were targeted and many windows were broken.
