The team is actively trying to acquire a wide receiver and it could happen at any point leading up to the draft on Thursday.

John Lynch, the GM of the San Francisco team, put an end to any speculation of Aiyuk being traded during the NFL owner’s meetings in Orlando in March. However, it is not impossible for unexpected things to occur. If the Steelers were to pursue this move, it would have both financial and contractual implications with Aiyuk.
