INFORMATION ABOUT THE ZAUNER BUTCHERY

Our butcher shop is one of them oldest companies inside Salzkammergut.Since 1809 Our company attaches great importance to quality and craftsmanship. This is one reason why the animals do not come from factory farming, but from the same small farms in the Salzkammergut as when the Zauner butcher’s shop was founded.

Since February 2004 We expanded our business area by taking over the Sydler company in Bad Goisern, where we have now moved our production.

We currently employ 22 people, including apprentices, because we attach great importance to training young people in order to continue to meet the high quality requirements in the future with well-trained specialists.

Through our company, we not only contribute to job security, but are also aware of the great responsibility towards the farms, including the management of alpine pastures and the associated landscape management.

We value the excellent quality of the cattle and calves of our alpine farmers and are happy to offer our customers this high-quality natural product at a reasonable price.

Am August 5, 2013 we opened another branch in Bad Aussee opened.
We are very pleased to have taken this step and look forward to good cooperation and satisfied customers in Ausseerland.

TAKEOVER OF THE SYDLER BUTCHERY

For personal reasons, Peter Pilz, owner of the Sydler butcher shop in Bad Goisern, had to give up his trained profession. The company with 7 employees was also popular outside of Bad Goisern because of its quality products.

Gottlieb Zauner and Peter Pilz found a solution that secures the future of Goisern’s local supply. Under the management of Gottlieb Zauner, operations will continue without interruption.

All employees and the modern processing machines were taken over, thereby ensuring the quality standard for the population.

The Zauner butcher’s shop has also been training apprentices for meat processing and sales for years, making it an important economic factor in the Inner Salzkammergut.

On October 1, 2016, the company was handed over to another generation of the Zauner family. Gottlieb Zauner jun. took over the company when his father retired and would like to continue to impress with the quality of the products in his company and thus remain a contrast to various discounters and retail chains.
We are convinced that slaughter animals from our area, from Bad Goisern, Bad Ischl, Gosau, St. Wolfgang, Bad Aussee or Bad Mitterndorf, provide the best basis for our traditional products and that professional processing by our competent employees offers a selection of great quality items can.
