At the Munich U13 individual judo championships, Mia D. and Mark D. qualified for the South Bavarian individual championship.
Highly motivated, we then went to Sachsenkam on March 9, 2024 to apply what we had trained. Mark D. won the first two fights. He was even able to defeat his opponent from the Munich championship. Unfortunately, he had to admit defeat to the eventual tournament winner in the semi-finals. In the fight for third place he gave it his all again, but couldn’t prevail. He qualified for the Bavarian U13 individual championship with fifth place. Mia D. did not take part in the South Bavarian Championship U13.
On March 16, 2024 the time had come. The Bavarian Individual Championship in Wörth ad Donau finally took place. Mark D. had to compete in the first fight against the first place finisher in the North Bavarian Individual Championship. This did not impress him at all and he defeated him early with two Wazari scores. In the quarterfinals he had to admit defeat to the eventual tournament winner. In the next fight he was able to assert himself confidently with his special technique Tai-o-toshi and a subsequent hold Kesa-gatame and thus defeated his opponent. Third place was within reach, but Mark D. had to drop out of the tournament due to an injury. Nevertheless, he achieved a great 7th place at the highest level in this age group in Germany.
