The Swiss signed his ninth victory in as many giant slaloms contested this season.

The Swiss Marco Odermatt, 3rd in the first round and author of a big mistake at the start of the second course, signed his ninth victory in as many giant slaloms contested this season, Saturday in Aspen, in the United States. Odermatt was ahead of his compatriot Loïc Meillard, 2nd at 34/100th, and the Norwegian Timon Haugan, 3rd at 58/100th. The Swiss phenomenon signed his 13th victory of the winter, the 37th of his career, but he has come a long way.

Withdrawn after the first round won by the Norwegian Alexander Steen Olsen, finally 17th, he made a mistake at the start of the final round, but managed to miraculously restore the situation to finish in a cannonball. “I knew I had to attack after the first round.
