Google decided to pay tribute to this star through the logo of its search engine, also known as Doodle, since this Thursday it was modified and now has an animated image in which she appears singing. This was on the occasion of the 92nd anniversary of her birth, since she came into this world on March 7, 1932.

“Today we celebrate the birth of the actress and singer who helped popularize ranchera music and huapango,” said the technology giant. Her successful career was also marked by some family problems, but in the end, she managed to move forward and become one of the most influential personalities in national culture.

The beginnings of Lola Beltrán

María Lucila Beltrán Ruiz, or just Lola Beltrán, was born in the community of El Rosario, in the state of Sinaloa. From a very young age she began to show a great interest in art, mainly singing.

This led her to have several appearances on local radio programs, where over time she began to become known. Her professional life began in 1950, as her talent allowed her to sign a contract with a record label.

This is how he released one of his first hits ‘Paloma Negra’, which gave him national fame. This is how he recorded different albums, from which several popular songs emerged.

Some of his most iconic pieces were ‘Cucurrucú paloma’, ‘Por un amor’, ‘Huapango bullfighter’ or ‘The flower fair’. These compositions, of genres such as ranchero, huapango or bolero, were not only successful in Mexico, but were also widely accepted in other countries.
