Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul, boxing: When did “Kid Dynamite” last lose a fight

The list of Tyson’s achievements is long. In 1986, at the age of 20 years and 144 days, he became the youngest heavyweight world champion of all time, and later became the first boxer to hold the titles of the three boxing associations WBC, WBA and IBF at the same time.

Not surprisingly, his number of defeats is quite low. Of 58 professional fights, “Iron Mike” won 50 (44 by knockout), there were only six defeats and two unrated fights.

Tyson probably suffered his most groundbreaking defeat in 1990, when the previously undefeated world champion (37 wins, 33 by knockout) was sent to the boards in the tenth round by opponent Buster Douglas. After that, things went downhill: “Kid Dynamite” lost title fights twice (1996, 1997) against Evander Holyfield (in the rematch, Tyson was disqualified because of his infamous biting attack), and Tyson was also defeated by Lennox Lewis in 2002.

And the most recent defeat? Tyson conceded this in the inglorious last fight of his professional career: in 2005, the then 38-year-old lost to Kevin McBride in six rounds (forfeit), after which the boxing legend announced his retirement. Here you have an overview of all defeats:
