Lara Prasnikar doesn’t know life without football. In Eintracht’s attack, hardly anything works without them. What makes the biggest star that Slovenian women’s football has ever produced tick?

The moment from which football was no longer just a beautiful and omnipresent game in her life? Lara Prasnikar still knows it exactly. Namely, when she was sixteen years old and was nominated for the senior national team of her home country Slovenia for the first time. “It was only then that I realized that things were getting serious,” she says eight years later. She is the biggest star that Slovenian women’s football has ever produced. Lara Prasnikar sits in a conference room on the Frankfurter Eintracht campus. She doesn’t touch the pretzels or coffee before training.

She came to Eintracht in the summer of 2020 and, according to her recently extended contract, she is tied to the club until mid-2028. Lara Prasnikar has long been a player who matters at the SGE. Because of their finishing skills, of course, but also because of their calmness on the ball and cleverness without the ball. Because of their pronounced teamwork and their strategic skills on the pitch.
