A little girl knocked down in Clermont-Ferrand
An 8-year-old girl was taken on Friday March 22, in the afternoon, for check-ups at Estaing University Hospital. She had just left the Edgar-Quinet school with her mother and appeared from between two cars when she was hit by a driver, rue Bonnefons, in Clermont-Ferrand. The screenings carried out on the latter were negative.
The agricultural building on fire, the cows saved in Cournols
A fire broke out on Saturday March 23, at 3:30 a.m., in an agricultural building located on the heights of Cournols, near Aydat. The owners were able to evacuate a little over a hundred cows and calves that were inside the shed. The hundreds of bales of hay that the building housed, however, went up in smoke. An investigation entrusted to the Saint-Amand-Tallende brigade was opened to determine the origin of the disaster. The fire mobilized nearly forty firefighters from different emergency centers (Aydat, Saint-Amant-Tallende, Issoire, Saint-Diéry, Le Chambon-sur-Lac, Saint-Gènes-Champanelle).

Riom: brawl with a baseball bat
A 21-year-old man was stabbed on Saturday, around 1 p.m., on Boulevard de la République, in Riom. Alerted, the police found the victim in hospital. They also arrested the alleged perpetrator who allegedly had trouble with the victim’s brother. The latter allegedly tried to hit him with a baseball bat, but the blow injured a paramedic. If the victim left the hospital during the day, his brother and the alleged knife attacker were taken into police custody.
Two drivers with 2 g and 1.42 g in Clermont-Ferrand
A 19-year-old driver crashed into the barriers of the McDonald’s fast-food restaurant on Saturday March 23, shortly before 3 a.m., in Beaumont. Checked by a police patrol, he was intoxicated. The breathalyzer showed a level of 2 g. Almost at the same time, another police patrol was called for a material accident on Boulevard Gustave-Flaubert in Clermont-Ferrand. The driver, 24, drove into a parked car. He had a blood alcohol level of 1.42 g. The two drivers will be tried by criminal order.
