The Bundesliga volleyball players from SSC Schwerin have come one step closer to their big goal: championship. The Mecklenburg women beat the Rote Raben Vilsbiburg in the play-off quarter-finals and are in the semi-finals.

The Schwerin women won 3-1 (25:20, 20:25, 25:14, 28:26) in Vilsbiburg on Wednesday evening and won the “best of three” series 2-0. Coach Felix Koslowski’s team also won the first duel 3-1.

SC Potsdam is waiting again

In the semi-finals, the SSC will face SC Potsdam, who also beat Suhl 2-0 in their quarter-finals. In the first game next Wednesday (7:10 p.m.) the intermediate round winner will initially have home advantage. Last season Schwerin failed in the semi-finals against Potsdam.

Although the Schwerin women secured the cup victory last year, the Mecklenburg women would like to celebrate the championship again. The last title win was six years ago.

“The longing for titles in Schwerin is always great”

“The longing for titles in Schwerin is always great, but we’re not thinking about it yet,” Coach Koslowski said before the game in Vilsbiburg. Afterwards he saw a changeable performance from his team, but in the end they showed strong nerves and deservedly prevailed.
