Veronika Aigner and guide Elisabeth Aigner secured victory and thus the small crystal ball in Sella Nevea (ITA) in the last giant slalom of the season. Her brother Johannes Aigner (with guide Nico Haberl), who had already won the discipline, finished third.

“The whole team is really happy that we got two balls in the giant slalom. The season couldn’t have gone better. It was a brilliant day today and a great last race of this year’s giant slalom season,” said Veronika and Johannes Aigner in unison. The former had previously also got the slalom crystal, her brother also the one in the downhill. On Monday he could also crown himself in the Super-G.
Of the other ÖSV athletes, Markus Salcher in seventh place and Manuel Rachbauer in ninth place made it into the top ten in the men’s standing rankings on Sunday. Thomas Grochar and Nico Pajantschitsch dropped out in the first and second rounds respectively, while Eva Jöchl came eighth in the women’s standing category.
