Valenciaport reports in a statement that it is reinforcing its commercial services and its actions in terms of sustainability and training with Brazil within the framework of the ‘Intermodal South America’ fair. The commercial team of the Port Authority of Valencia has held working meetings with logistics and supply chain representatives at what is the reference fair for the sector in Latin America.

In addition to their participation in the Fair, the representatives of the Port Authority of Valencia and the Valenciaport Foundation traveled to Brazil, Cristina Rodríguez (Commercial Head), Francesc Sánchez (President of the Foundation) and Miguel Garín (International Director of the Foundation ) have participated in the Spain – Brazil Business Meeting organized by the Secretary of State for Commerce of Spain, through ICEX Spain Exportation and Investment, and the Economic and Commercial Offices of the Embassy of Spain in Brazil in collaboration with CEOE and with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce.

Both the Foundation and the Port have attended as invited Spanish companies to address the investment and business cooperation opportunities that are opening up in Brazil, and more specifically, in the state of Sao Paulo, mainly in the area of ​​Transportation Infrastructure, but also in others such as Water and Sanitation; Digitalization (Agrotech, Cybersecurity, Health Digitalization and Smart Cities); Renewable energy; and Tourism.

The representatives of “Valenciaport” – as a brand that brings together shared interests between the Port Authority and the Foundation – have closed various collaboration agreements in matters of sustainability and training; The latter is a specialty in which the Foundation is an international benchmark in training and mastery for port management and intermodality.

Precisely, the president of the Valenciaport Foundation, Francesc Sánchez, and the head of Commercial of the PAV, Cristina Rodríguez, have held a fruitful three-way meeting with the Minister of Ports and Airports of Brazil, Silvio Costa; the Executive Secretary of his ministry, Mariana Pesca Toro, and the CEO of ICEX, Elisa Carbonell (in the attached photograph). They have also held various bilateral meetings with Brazilian companies and institutions and with the president of ICEX, in which Miguel Garín, director of International Development of the Valenciaport Foundation, has also participated.

This event, which celebrates its 28th edition in 2024, is recognized worldwide as the reference fair in the fields of logistics and supply chain in Latin America. It is annual and hosted, in its last edition, 500 exhibitors from 20 countries, and more than 40,000 visitors, mainly from South America and North America.
