UTLAC LAKE AS ULTRA TRAIL

UTLAC was born with the ambitious project of giving life to a mountain running event to enhance the territories surrounding one of the most famous lakes in the world: Lake Como. Now in its third edition, the race that circumnavigates Lake Como has now become an established reality.

UTLAC, a reality that does not stop at the complete circuit of Lake Como for 250km in a maximum of 90 hours, but which presents itself – also in 2024 – with the popular distance of 30km, characterized by the spectacular transport of the athletes by boat on the departure, and then with the new length of 60km which starts from Como and reaches Lecco along the same paths as the 250km – more precisely its last 60km – for what promises to be a derby between the capital cities, nowadays already football rivals, but which have in common the winning lake-mountain combination for which they are known throughout the world.

This new distance, to the amazement of the organizers themselves, is already sold-out two months after the Start, with very few bibs still available!

In the words of the CEO of Rock Experience® Michele Frigerio: “For the next three years, this new agreement will unite a company which is rapidly expanding and which shares with the organization of Utlac the sensitivity and attention to the mountains and the passion for the sport. As a brand we were born in Lecco eleven years ago. We have been able to personally experience – both as practitioners and then as a company – the development of many outdoor activities over the last ten years, and for this new adventure, our commitment will be to support this event on various levels, both because the event has already proven to have entered the calendars of very strong athletes, including foreign ones, both because we are a company committed to international markets but at the same time strongly linked to the territory and its valorisation in the various marketing and sporting activities that we have been carrying out for years. ”

UTLAC continues to grow. From the 2022 edition to today, the aim is to reach 700 registered athletes from the initial 150 participants. “For our company, undertaking this new and profitable collaboration is like taking a further step forward. And during the next three years the two brands will combine their experiences to make the Lariano event increasingly closer and specific to the needs of the world of international trail running events”.
