UnipolSai Fortitudo Adds Gilberto Borghi and Tommaso Giacomini to 2024 Roster

UnipolSai Fortitudo has announced two new additions for the 2024 rosterwhich will increase the number of Italians present in the team which will debut in the championship in less than a month.

The first is Gilberto Borghiwhich it can cover the outfield positions but also the role of first base. Born in 1998, he grew up in the Yankees of San Giovanni in Persiceto, after 4 years at Longbridge he moved to Fortitudo, after beating in the last Serie A championship with an average of .346where he also hit 14 walks.

The second newcomer, if we may say so, is Tommaso Giacomini. Born in Pesaro in 2003, he already has three years of Serie A with Macerata behind him, and experience in the “old” Serie A2 with Pesaro. The good performances he put in with Hotsand earned him some calls to the Under18 national team, with which he won silver at the European Championship. He can fill the roles of catcher, shortstop and outfielder. He also played for Longbridge last season, and deserved the move to Effe.
