Austria’s U17 national football team has qualified for the European Championship finals from May 20th to June 5th in Cyprus. The ÖFB selection won on Tuesday in Wiener Neustadt against group favorites Spain 3-1 (2-1) and took first place in the group ahead of the Spaniards.

The guests took an early lead through Juan Hernandez (12th), but Thierry Fidjeu-Tazemeta equalized shortly afterwards with a free kick (19th). Ensar Music put Austria in the lead with a 20-meter shot into Kreuzeck (36th), and Philip Moizi fixed the final score with a penalty (80th).
