Triumphant Victories for Kodokan Pamiers Judo Club Members

The tatamis vibrated once again at the Kodokan Pamiers judo which made the kimonos embossed with the Phoenix, symbol of the club, shine. Lisa Falcou was qualified for the finals of the French senior jiu-jitsu championship in Vendée, in La Roche-sur-Yon. The Appamean champion won a nice bronze medal.

After a 5th place at the French judo championship last year and another 5th place as a team, this time it’s the right one. His perseverance, his work and his talent paid off. Enough to satisfy Patrick Paulhan, his coach. “Lisa had a very good competition. She didn’t miss much to claim even better, but the performance is there with a podium against the best senior jiu-jitsu judokas in France. It’s deserved for Lisa who doesn’t give up on the tatami mats.” The season continues for Lisa who will compete in the French elite judo championship in June in Paris with a team made up of the best judokas from Occitanie.

The youngest were also competing in Tarbes for a criterium. The Kodokan was represented by 5 fighters. Everyone fought well and came out of their groups to reach the final phase tables with bronze and silver medals and the gold medal for Méline Fabre. The Kodokan Pamiers judo staff was delighted with the performances of the club’s hopefuls, in particular the superb performance of Méline.

“Leaving first in the ranking to begin the final phase, she won her semi-final and found herself in the final against an opponent already beaten in the group. Applied, she took the initiative and performed a superb O Goshi who concluded the fight on Ippon “, underlined the Appamean staff who pushed behind their protégé. We will find the Kodokan judokas in the final of the regional judo championship in Toulouse in May.
