Markus Treichl, Sascha Stepan, Markus Sammer and Kristian Huber finished fourth in the last four-man bobsleigh World Cup. On Saturday in Lake Placid, the ÖBSV quartet lined up 0.33 seconds behind three German bobsleighs on the demanding track at Mount van Hoevenberg, where the world championships will take place next winter. The victory went to Francesco Friedrich, who also took his sixth victory in the overall World Cup. Treichl took seventh place.

In the women’s two-man bobsleigh, Katrin Beierl/Anna Schenk finished ninth, 1.65 seconds behind the superior German winners Kim Kalicki/Leonie Fiebig.
