Treichl came ninth in the World Cup final in two

Markus Treichl and pusher Markus Sammer finished ninth in the two-man bobsleigh competition at the World Cup finals in Lake Placid on Friday. The German Francesco Friedrich took the victory. Jakob Mandlbauer/Daiyehan Nichols-Bardi retired in the second race.

Katrin Beierl only came 14th out of 17 participants in the last monobob race. Bree Walker celebrated the first World Cup victory by an Australian woman, and befittingly achieved a track record.

Friedrich and Lisa Buckwitz from Germany secured the crystal balls. Treichl came ninth overall in the final rankings, Beierl eleventh.
