Travis Kelce Admits Behavior Toward Andy Reid Was “Definitely Unacceptable” in Super Bowl Victory

Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce admitted that his behavior toward head coach Andy Reid in his team’s 25-22 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl was “definitely unacceptable.”

Early in the game, Kelce pushed his coach and screamed in his face before running back Jerick McKinnon intervened.

While Reid downplayed the incident after the game, Kelce told his brother, Jason Kelce, on the podcast New Heights of the duo, that it was a “low blow”.

“I can’t get so fired up that I hit the coach and push him around,” Kelce said. “When he tripped, I was like, ‘Aw, shit’ in my head. »

Kelce said that even after the incident, Reid remained calm despite expecting to be reprimanded by his coach.

“I deserve it.” Kelce said. “If he had punched me in the face, I would have digested it. I would have said to myself: “Come on, let’s turn the page”. »

Kelce finished Sunday’s game as the most productive receiver, with nine catches for 93 yards. The 34-year-old won his third Super Bowl title.
