Top 14: Thomas Ramos leaves injured, Antoine Dupont returns with Stade Toulousain

A return earlier than expected. This Sunday, Toulouse can count on the presence of Antoine Dupont to play against Union Bordeaux-Bègles, at the end of this Top 14 weekend. Initially on the bench, the scrum half returned after four short minutes of game. The fault lies in contact between Thomas Ramos and Yoram Moefana, during the latter’s try. Hit in the ribs, Ramos had to give up his place.

Taken for almost two months by the French rugby sevens team in anticipation of the Olympic Games, Dupont had not played a Top 14 match since February 3 and a victory against Bayonne (46-26). At the beginning of March, the Habs won gold against Great Britain in the final of the Los Angeles tournament (21-0). It was the team’s first World Tour victory since 2005.

For the moment, however, Dupont cannot influence his team’s poor start. After a little over 30 minutes, Toulouse is trailing against Bordeaux. A victory could, however, allow them to regain first place in the Championship.
