Celaya, Guanajuato.– Around 4,500 attendees will be in Celaya during the International Basketball Open which already started on Thursday, March 14 and will end this coming Sunday, March 17.
With the participation of 280 teams from abroad and the Mexican Republic, this third edition will welcome visitors.
The III International Basketball Open will feature teams from Costa Rica, Colombia, Panama and El Salvador, as well as quintets from various states of the country such as Oaxaca, Michoacan, Mexico City, Quintana Roo, Chihuahua, Chiapas, Guerrero, Mexico state, Hidalgo, Queretaro, San Luis Potosi, New Lion, Guanajuato, among others.
The categories in which they will be held in this Open are Micro, Children, Catwalk, Youth, Senior Youth and Under-21, both in the men’s and women’s branches.
The games will take place at Deportiva MAV, Multideportivo Galaxias del Parque, ITESBA Colegio, Panamericano, Colegio Marista, Deportiva State, University of Guanajuato Celaya-Salvatierra campus, Universidad Latina de México, Universidad de Celaya and Tecnológico Nacional de México in Roque.
Last Friday, during its inauguration at the ‘Ciro Soto Lara’ baseball stadium of Deportiva Miguel Alemán Valdesthe director of the Celaya Physical Culture and Sports System (SIDEC) was present, Andrés Barrientos González; and the director of CODE Guanajuato, Marco Heroldo Gaxiola Rome.
Likewise, during this inauguration, different artistic presentations were held by the group Black Dance, Down Celaya, Ximena Tapia, as well as the BFB Ballet.
