Thierry Neuville sets the best time on the first special stage of the Rally Kenya

The third round of the season, in Kenya, began this Thursday with a 4.84 km super-special, organized as a duel in Kasarani in the suburbs of Nairobi. Even if it did not present any particular difficulties, we had to be careful not to take the risk of losing everything in the first hectometers of the rally.

It was Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) who covered these 4.84 km the fastest, in a time of 3’19″9. As is often the case, the gaps are tiny and the first seven Rally1s are within 2″2. Just behind the Belgian, we find his teammate Ott Tänak, a tenth away, and the reigning world champion Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota), eight tenths away.
