Wales, dead last in the Six Nations Tournament, will face Italy on Saturday at 3:15 p.m. on the final day, returning to their usual pair of centers, made up of George North and Nick Tompkins.
After an attempt to change at the level of the two centers to face the XV of France on Sunday (45-24 defeat), where the young Joe Roberts, 23, and Owen Watkin were aligned, the New Zealand coach Warren Gatland returns to a pair more classic.
The experienced George North and his friend Nick Tompkins, 155 caps between them, return to the starting XV, although they were absent from the reshuffled group opposing the French.
Captain Dafydd Jenkins, aligned in No.6 against France, slides into the second line alongside Adam Beard.
Gatland has made two other changes to the front row, as Elliot Dee (30 years old, 50 caps) will occupy the hooker position, and Dillon Lewis (28 years old, 56 caps) replaces Keiron Assiratti as left prop.
Last in the standings before the final day, the Leek XV must beat Italy to save their honor and avoid an infamous “wooden spoon”, synonymous with five setbacks in as many matches.
