The uniform, designed for types of weather and tasks, was designed around a central element symbol of France, a revisited sailor top. The set (trousers that transform into shorts, jacket that can be converted into a vest, pair of shoes, banana and a bucket hat) is the result of a collaboration between Paris 2024 and Décathlon, which will be responsible for distributing them starting this month. of May.

At the design level, Cojo insisted on relying on companies from the social and solidarity economy. Two of the four suppliers, Red Thread in Marseille et Resilience in Roubaix, belong to this network. Fil Rouge, in particular, is responsible for making more than 100,000 t-shirts (each volunteer will receive four) and socks.

“Even for a structure like Cojo, this reading of the social economy is important, as is manufacturing in France. There is an appetite among French consumers for more local, more ecological, socially responsible manufacturing,” said Jean-François Aufort, the boss of the Marseille company.
