The Air Jordan 9 was launched in 1993
What’s special about the Air Jordan 9 is that it was the first shoe developed during Jordan’s “retirement.” After winning the NBA championship three times in a row, Michael Jordan switched sports and went from basketball to baseball. Although the star never wore this model during his active time as a basketball player, the sneaker was still declared a classic.
The shoe is considered not only the most comfortable, but also the lightest and most responsive Air Jordan. Inspired by the statue dedicated to the player in front of the United Center in Chicago, the shoe was decorated in the four original colors with various slogans. “Independence”, “Freedom”, “Athletic” and “Force” adorned the original Air Jordan 9. This model in the Jordan series was also a tribute to the player’s new career: the exclusive models of the Air Jordan 9 were designed for both basketball -Court, as well as for the baseball field. Now comes the Air Jordan 9 Powder Blue
The new white, blue and black version of the sneaker stays true to the original design from 1993 – and from 2010, when the shoe was first re-released. This color mix is an original colorway as it appeared in the 90s. This was a look that can be combined with a variety of outfits due to its simplicity.
