The moment of truth has come for Union Neuchâtel. Mitar Trivunovic’s squad ends its Swiss Basketball League regular season on Saturday. Union faces Pully Lausanne Foxes at 6 p.m. at Riveraine. Dalan Ancrum and his teammates only need one victory to finish sixth in the standings. A position that would have advantages in the play-off.
Vaud or Ticino
The situation is simple for Mitar Trivunovic’s troop. If she finishes sixth, she will challenge Vevey for a repeat of last season’s play-off quarter-finals. In the event of defeat, Union will have to get rid of the Ticinese of Massagno, if it intends to reach the last four. Contacted by our editorial team, the Neuchâtel basketball club told us they wanted to do everything they could to win on Saturday in order to “not go to Ticino next week”.
Union, a feared opponent
In terms of statistics, the record of the Unionists is unfavorable both against the Veveysans and against the Ticino residents.
