Pouilly-sur-Loire. A handball academy championship at the gymnasium. The Guilleraults college can be proud of having a dynamic Sports Association (AS) which attracts a very large number of its students every Wednesday. 73 out of a total workforce of 157.
Supervised by the two PE teachers, Annabelle Suzeau and Gaëtan Colas, they practice various sporting activities, cross country and participate in official competitions organized at all levels.
This year again, the harvest is beautiful. At the departmental level: two championship titles in girls’ volleyball and boys’ handball. Second places in junior boys and junior mixed badminton. A third place in Benjamins basketball and a fourth in Benjamins football. Nièvre handball champions, the junior boys will compete in the academic championship with the winners of the three other Burgundian departments on Wednesday afternoon, at the gymnasium.
The four qualified for this academic final: Jean-Bertin college in Saint-Georges-sur-Baulche (Yonne), Camille-Claudel college in Chevigny (Côte-d’Or), Givry college (Saône-et-Loire) and the Les Guilleraults college in Pouilly.
