It would be extremely naive to think that the President Luis Abinader is uninformed of all the disagreements and discords that take place within the Dominican Olympic Committeeto the detriment of the country, which pays its taxes so that this entity governing Olympicism, today a national shame, works for the benefit of our athletes, attached to the Olympic principles that govern it.

I have it on good authority that Mr. Felipe Vicini, who, through CRESO, provides an invaluable contribution to our athletes, has shown great concern, because some of the businessmen that he has motivated to promote the sport are concerned about having their brands, linked to an institution like the Dominican Olympic Committee, with a high presence in the media, bringing out a diatribe that emanates hatred and resentment that is already becoming unbearable.
The country is fed up with the nonsense of the COD. Businessmen are already annoyed with the nonsense and clumsiness of these Olympic leaders, who, with a few exceptions, embarrass the National Sports Movement.
The reputation of the Dominican Olympic Committee went to hell. Juan Ulises García Saleta, Wiche, Roque Napoleón-Polón-Muñoz, Nelly Manuel Doñe, Carlos Lamarche Rey, José Manuel Ramos Brea, – Jocelin- Danilo Aquino and other deceased Olympians, surely they complain from beyond, with the same phrase that Simón Bolívar proclaimed his immense pain and helplessness: ”We have plowed in the sea.”
I think that the chaos of the COD is irreversible, not only because of the capacity for malice that some of its members have developed, but because of the ineffectiveness that is observed in the organization.

For example, none of the candidates for the COD presidency have acted responsibly to resolve the case of the five suspended federations: Badminton, Modern Pentathlon, Fencing, Surfing and Shooting, well, although they know that what is coming is an uprising of associations and call for elections, they prefer to wait until they find the president who favors their aspirations.
Up to that point the fight for the COD presidency is reflected. What a shame
With the inclusion of Miguel Camacho, Rubén Tejeda, Pedro Julio Quezada and Miguel-Nino-Rivera in the COD, replacing the resignations: José Manuel Ramos, Radhamés Tavárez, Juan Núñez and Francisco Soto, the crisis will worsen and end on the desk by Thomas Bach, president of the International Olympic Committee.
