“The body can no longer keep up”: Alexis Pinturault deplores the infernal pace of alpine skiing

His days remain busy, even when injured. Alexis Pinturault, 33, has fifteen minutes to spare before going to his daily rehabilitation session. Like his partners in the French team, the skier from Courchevel has just returned from Austria. He was obviously not in Saalbach, where the last races of the season have just taken place. Operated on January 23 following an injury to his left knee, a week earlier, during the super-G in Wengen (Switzerland), which forced him to end his World Cup season, the one which accumulated titles had headed to the RedBull rehabilitation center, his sponsor, to take stock.

The 33-year-old hopes to resume physical training at the end of May, and put the skis back on at the end of August, while skipping the first stage of the 2024-2025 financial year, in Sölden at the end of October, to return at the beginning of December.
