1 – 0
Thanks to Leandro Trossard. After a nerve-wracking return against Porto, Arsenal is in the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time since 2010. The Red Devil erased the Portuguese bonus from the first match with a great goal. Afterwards we waited in vain for a winning goal until minute 120. Arsenal came out on top in the penalty shootout.
Accurate Trossard
After the 1-0 defeat in the first leg, Arsenal had something to put right.
Leandro Trossard had understood the message and gave his team the lead just before half time. After a nice pass from Odegaard, our compatriot came alone in front of the goalkeeper. He didn’t fail there and easily pushed the leather into the far corner.

The score could have been opened earlier in a promising first half. Saka and Odegaard couldn’t get the ball past goalkeeper Costa and a busy Evanilson couldn’t shake the net on the other side either.
Trossard’s goal then created a completely new game picture. Porto threw everything, Arsenal were afraid of the counter-attack and no longer went all out.
Extensions were the logical consequence.
Even if you refuse, block Raya
As so often happens, they became a measure for nothing and it was a countdown to penalties. Trossard, substituted at half-time in extra time, saw his teammates be clinical from the spot and kick in all their eleven meters
The same couldn’t be said for Porto. Both Wendell and Galeno saw their attempts turned away by Raya, who – together with Trossard – was crowned the great hero of the evening.
Arsenal is now one of the eight best teams in Europe for the first time in 14 (!) years.

End: 1-0 (4-2)
The pots are still boiling over and some players have to be separated. Trossard is also one of the hotheads.
Raya de held van Arsenal
Raya does it again! Galeno, the culprit from the first leg, misses the decisive penalty. It took blood, sweat and tears, but Arsenal can go to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Arsenal remains faultless
Rice also knows how to find the way to the goal simply. If Porto misses now, it’s over for the Portuguese.
Grujic keeps Porto alive
Raya is there again, but Grujic can still cheer. This time the fingertips are not enough to keep the ball outside the goal.
From 3-1
Saka does what his teammates showed him and kicks the ball straight into the side netting. It will be difficult for Porto.
Raya with the fingertips
Wendell is the first to miss. He kicks the ball to the corner, but Raya is able to push it against the post with his fingertips. Arsenal have the advantage now.
Havertz 2-1
Havertz also remains cool and easily converts his penalty.
Pepé follows Odegaard’s example and kicks the ball into the net: 1-1.
Odegaard does not fail
Captain Odegaard takes responsibility and sends Costa to the wrong side with the first penalty. 1-0 to Arsenal.
